Yusupov Palace. Noble And Misterious…

That mysterious palace belonged to one of the wealthiest Russian noble families. Today, it is often called “Noble Nest”. The Yusupov family acquired the palace early in the 19th century and remodeled it according to their taste and fashion. Still, you can see the original interiors of their Gala rooms, in one of them, Red drawing room, they would receive the Russian Emperor.

Besides, you will see there another exhibition located in the notoriously known part of the palace. The building witnessed the famous Russian crime and drama. Gregory Rasputin, the bosom friend of the last Romanovs, was assassinated in the basement room of the palace where nowadays, you can see the reproduced mise-en-scène with the wax figures of Gregory Rasputin and Felix Yusupov, the head of the plot. Where were the other plotters? Upstairs. Their wax figures are still waiting…

So, today you are invited to see two exhibitions, one of them is the palace itself, another dedicated to Rasputin, one of the most mysterious and contradictory personalities in our history…
